Julia Romero joined Brand Urban in 2025 with a well-rounded background in retail real estate. She is a key team member in Brand Urban's Placemaking Division, delivering integrated solutions across marketing, programming, and anchor leasing for local and national assets. Current high-profile projects include working with the New York City Economic Development Corporation's (NYCEDC) to shape the ground floor of MADE Bush Terminal and Brooklyn Army Terminal and advising on placemaking initiatives for Downtown Princeton, NJ. She also actively represents specialty food and beverage and lifestyle brands on their growth throughout New York City and the Tristate areas.

Julia began her career at Marcus & Millichap, where she was part of a team focused on single-tenant retail assets, working closely with investors acquiring properties tenanted by anchors such as Dollar General and national QSR brands. She then joined Streetsense, where she supported cross-disciplinary teams on real estate marketing and placemaking consulting projects for a diverse range of clients — from individual investors and local businesses to institutional firms such as Rudin Residential, Brookfield Properties, and Industry City. With experience on both the transactional and strategic sides of the industry, she brings a thoughtful, solution-driven perspective to every engagement. Her work centers on helping retail environments thrive — balancing market insight, brand storytelling, and community impact to create places built to last.
